 Our theme for the 2023 Arts, Recreation and Worship Conference is On the Way:  The Road to Community

ARW is a week long experiential opportunity to participate in recreation, worship, community, creativity and the arts. The conference is designed for those who want to deepen their creativity, broaden their leadership skills and experience personal spiritual renewal. In addition to whole group worship and recreation events, participants select from a wide range of unique courses. Our learning together provides space for us to share in community that includes all of God’s voices

The basic schedule for the week is as follows:
 - Arrive on Monday and check in to housing (from noon on).  Registration from 3-5 pm, gather for dinner at 5 and opening program at 7:15,  
optional late night activities 9:30 til....
 - Tuesday - Friday:  Morning gathering from 8:45-10, morning classes from 10:30-12:30, lunch from 12:30 - 1:30, afternoon classes from 2:45-4:45,  dinner from 5:30-6:30,  evening programming from 7:30- 9, optional late night activities 9:30 til.... 
 - Thursday's schedule differs slightly, with free afternoon and the afternoon classes meeting from 7-9 pm

Worship Leader
For almost 20 years, Theresa has  specialized in adaptive change of organizational systems, intergenerational worship, worship & arts, urban ministry, and church revitalization.
As a pastor at St. John's Presbyterian Church, her ministry encompasses running a weekly food pantry, immigrant justice, and affordable housing.
Theresa's husband is also a Presbyterian minister and they parent two teenagers in the wonderful city of San Francisco.

Phillip Morgan
Music Leader

Phillip Morgan serves as Director of Music at Central Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY. Recently, Phillip has been invited to lead music in worship and present seminars on African American sacred music at several national gatherings of the Presbyterian Church (U.SA.) including the Presbyterian Women Annual Gathering, the Association of Presbyterian Christian Educators Annual Event, Big Tent, the Presbyterian Youth Triennium, and the Music and Worship Conferences at Montreat sponsored by the Presbyterian Association of Musicians, an organization of which he has served on the Executive Board of Directors. Dedicated to preserving the music traditions of African-Americans in both worship and concert, Phillip is the President of the Kentuckiana Branch of the National Association of Negro Musicians. He is also a member of the Louisville Chamber Choir and has performed as a soloist with the Louisville Orchestra, the Choral Arts Society and the Kentucky Opera.
