What is re:create?

re:create cultivates building community through ARW (the Arts, Recreation, and Worship conference), Playology, networking, and resourcing. It’s an experiential ministry organization that connects and uplifts, teaches and delights in being taught. re:create stands for Connecting Recreation, Experiential Arts, Theology, and Education. Clever, huh?

Our Mission

To spread contagious joy by providing intentional leadership development accomplished by connecting and resourcing people interested in using recreation and arts in settings where groups gather.
How we pursue our vision to know God's contagious joy and share it faithfull in the the world:
The Arts, Recreation, and Worship Conference, which occurs annually the first full week in May and is co-sponsored by Montreat Conference Center -registration includes programming, room and board - everything but your travel!

Networking opportunities that are available
between partner organizations, leaders, and
participants.

Playology, which provides a variety of
workshop options by taking the ARW
experience and bringing it “on the road” to
your local church or organization.

Resourcing creative arts, recreation, and
worship.

For 66 years, the Annual Recreation Workshop, now re:create, has been enriching and equipping ministry leaders with creative arts, recreation, and worship ideas.
