Banner Making
Let’s think outside of the box to design banners that express a theme, an emotion, a story through the medium of fabric. Applique will be the primary technique but we’ll explore a couple of non-traditional banner making materials and techniques as well. For class you will just need a little sewing experience and your sewing machine to transform your ideas into a pulpit cloth, wall hanging or small banner. With the skills learned in class you will be able to design and create professional looking banners for your church or community.
Class limit 10 - Materials Fee $25
Karen worked in the sewing and fabric industry for many years and is delighted to be retired, no make that reinvented, doing freelance design work in the sewing industry and custom design work for churches, teaching creative sewing and creating stoles for her Etsy shop. Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church in Solon, OH is her church home.
