Worship Outside the Box - Denise Anderson
We live in a world where our worship traditions have been stretched, thanks in part to a global pandemic that challenged the ways we “do” church. Many of us struggled with what worship would look like when the locus of religious life was no longer the building. Others of us leaned into what worship could look like when the locus of religious life was no longer the building. Drawing from Romans 12:1-2, we will examine the various parts of our worship and co-create together out-of-the-box ideas for the shape those worship elements could take.
Denise Anderson is a writer, artist, and minister who has served multiracial and intercultural churches. She is the Director of Compassion, Peace, and Justice Ministries at the Presbyterian Mission Agency in Louisville, Kentucky Denise also served as Co-moderator of the 222nd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
