Large Group Recreation - Kris "Bubba" Brammer
From 50 to 5,000: Leading Large Group Recreation
Even seasoned recreation leaders can wonder how to take what they do in smaller settings and translate it to a larger group like a Presbytery event or Montreat Youth Conference. Your all-church retreats can mean planning activities and great flow for over 100 people. In this course we will work on how to adapt your favorite activity for 20 into something that works for 100+ and how to plan intentionally for the kinds of fun that only bigger groups can have! Together, we will create outlines for several large group events, anticipate the logistical challenges that come with large groups, and gain the skills to morph these plans into events you could lead for a conference or retreat-wide recreation.

Kris "Bubba" Brammer lives in Lincoln, Nebraska but grew up surrounded by the mountains of Roanoke, VA. Bubba has been in youth ministry for over 20 years serving churches in Hickory and Southern Pines, NC as well as his current call at First Presbyterian in Lincoln, NE. When not working, Bubba enjoys, golf and fly-fishing , but most of his time is spent with his amazing wife Kris Adler-Brammer and their four legged child/dog, Wrigley.
