Building Community In Worship
Are you interested in exploring the innovative ways folks across the country are building community within their worship services? Join us for a dynamic breakout workshop where we delve into the diverse and creative practices being implemented by various church professionals.
How could we build a deeper community in Worship? How could we weave our congregation together through our worship, not just in our worship? Join Genevieve as she interviews folks across the country who are attempting to do just that. We'll discuss what "out of the box" ideas could work in your context and we'll dream about ideas that could stretch us.
Join us as we embark on a journey of discovery, collaboration, and innovation in reimagining worship as our catalyst for building, fostering and nurturing our communities. Together, let's explore the possibilities of creating meaningful connections within the context of Worship.
Genevieve Brooks is the Director of Youth Ministry at White Memorial Presbyterian Church and she's on a mission to make every Sunday a fun-day! She started at White Memorial as the Director of Middle School Ministry in 2016 and after three years she accepted the call to be Youth Director. Prior to White Memorial she served as the Associate Director of Youth Ministry at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh after working at a United Methodist Camp and Conference Center down at the coast of North Carolina as their Summer Programs Director. When Genevieve is not busy leading the charge on Sunday nights, weekend retreats, or summer trips, she loves to sip on coffee, sail the open seas with her husband, Alex, re-pot her house plants, and dance to the Bluey theme song with her toddlers.
