As a multi-day artisanal bread making class we will practice skills and refine our techniques as we make several different kinds of breads ranging from flat bread to braided challa. We will deepen our understanding of bread’s role in the world and learn about flavor developments, flour selection as well as preferments and sourdoughs.Â

Rachel Shepherd has served as a pastor, chaplain, and associate presbyter, and now works in residential mental health treatment. She loves experiencing community, hanging out with her dog, good stories in any medium, and of course, baking!
