Woven Together: Care, Creativity, and Compassion in Your Congregation
God forms both our inward parts and our outward communities and calls us to care for both. Discover practical and innovative ways to nurture your congregation, create space for authentic relationships to flourish, and show up during the most painful and joyful times in people's lives. Through interactive discussions and creative activities, we will learn how to honor and celebrate each thread in our communal tapestry, embodying the love and care with which God has woven us together.
Allison Messick Watkins is currently the Parish Associate for Care at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. Alison has served the church in many locations and ways, primarily as a Clinical Pastoral Counselor, but also as a solo pastor. Her passion is creating space where others feel seen, valued, connected with, and loved. When she's not visiting members or facilitating church support groups, she can be found taking long walks, working on a new knitting project, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
