Making Space for Faith at Home
Faith life is real life. For years we have read the research about how religious expressions at home strongly shape a young person's sense of Christian identity. With regular church attendance fluctuating as it has - do we continue to expect our families to come to us for Christian Formation or do we change the programs go to them? How can church leaders come alongside families to help connect their households to God? This course will explore three foundations elements to help introduce to our families to identifying a Christian household of faith. You will be equipped to help come alongside your families to strengthen their home practices as they strive to raise children and youth with a strong sense of Christian identity and understanding of God's love.
Kelly Fitzgerald is a pastor with a passion for equipping families to "do faith" at home and in the world. She practices this on a daily basis (some days more successfully than others) with her three daughters with her husband in Sarasota, FL. She revels in God's creation with every glorious sunset off of Florida's coast.
