Diving Deep into Children's Ministry - Sophie Maness and Lynn Turnage - PM 4 Day
How might we support families and children in talking about tough issues from a faith perspective? We will explore material, models, and the faith base for why these conversations are so important. From anti-racism to climate change to gun violence and several others, we will wonder together when and how to talk about all we hear in the news in relation to our faith.
Sophie Maness is a certified Christian Educator at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nashville TN. She has served a variety of Presbyterian churches over the years, always trying to bring joy, faith and service together, for people of all ages. She loves chocolate, hiking and hanging out with family.
Lynn Turnage is the Director of Programs at Montreat Conference Center. Living in Montreat and loving the mountain hikes with her dog Daisy, time with her girls, she advocates laughter and play as important parts of ministry!
