Fly Fishing - Alex Collier and Bubba Brammer - 4 Day PM
There is something inherently spiritual about standing in the middle of a stream surrounded by God’s creation in search of a trout that will rise. This workshop will introduce you to the basics of fly-fishing including: equipment, casting, reading the water, and an afternoon of fishing on a nearby trout stream; while also exploring the spiritual connection of fly-fishing to Sabbath, and the goodness of God’s creation. Basic equipment will be provided but if you have access to a fly rod and reel or waders and boots, please bring them. There is an additional cost to this workshop for a NC fishing license ($10-$20 depending on residence) that can be purchased online before the workshop and a supply fee of ($10) for flies, etc. More details on fishing licenses will be provided closer to the conference.
