Treading Water - Michelle Thomas Bush - PM 4 Day
The rush of life, worry and stress often have us frantically treading water. In this workshop we will nourish our body, minds and spirits through the practice and understanding of mindfulness. Mindfulness is a powerful way to handle stress, and live life more fully. We will practice living fully in the present moment, without judgment but with an attitude of kindness and curiosity towards oneself and others. Through breathing, mindful games, meditation and prayer we will take notice of God’s movement in our lives, in scripture and the world around us.
Michelle Thomas-Bush is Associate Pastor of Youth and their Families at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. She is a mindfulness facilitator, using meditation and mindfulness not only in her work but in the community with mindfulness in schools and mindfulness and racial justice.
