Celebrating Sexuality - Sophie Maness & Shannon Guse - AM 4 Day
Why and how do we talk about sex in the context of church? Join us as we tackle these questions and model how to open dialogue about sexuality and faith. We will explore resources and experience lesson plans for ages birth through adolescence using multi-media, a variety of curriculum, and play.
Sophie Maness is a certified Christian Educator at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Nashville TN. She has served a variety of Presbyterian churches over the years, always trying to bring joy, faith and service together, for people of all ages. She loves chocolate, hiking and hanging out with family.
Shannon Guse recently relocated to Dallas, Texas where she is the Director of High School and College Ministries at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. She has a B.S. in Health Science Education from the University of Florida, and taught middle school and high school health in Marion County, FL for six years. Shannon has been working in youth ministry for over 20 years. She is married to Matt and they have two children. Shannon enjoys reading young adult novels that address tough issues and capture the quirkiness of teenagers!
