The theme for the 2019 Arts, Recreation and Worship Conference is
At the Table.

ARW is aweek long experiential opportunity amongst a community where all are welcome At The Table. The event focuses on recreation, worship, community, creativity and the arts. It is designed for those who want to deepen their creativity, broaden their leadership skills and experience personal spiritual renewal. In addition to whole group worship and recreation events, participants select from a wide range of unique courses. Our learning together provides space for us to share in community that includes all of God’s voices

Dr. Y. Dianna Wright
Worship Leader
Dr. Y Dianna Wright is the Associate Presbyter for Equip and African American Ministries for Salem Presbytery in Clemmons, NC and currently serves on the General Assembly’s Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations. She is committed to the ministry of education and using creative ways to teach the gospel story. She continues to glorify God through the use of the liturgical arts including dance, storytelling, music, and drama.

Dr. Jose Rivera
Music Leader
Jose Rivera is coordinator of Music Education and Associate Professor of Music at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke where he conducts the University Chorale and teaches choral methods, vocal techniques, and supervises student teachers.  Dr. Rivera currently serves as the American Choral Director’s Association Repertoire and Resources National Chair for Ethnic Music. He would never share this himself, but he has been described as a positive ball of energy who is able to take any group of voices and make incredible music!

The 2019 ARW Planning Team
Kris Adler-Brammer has recently returned to her roots in the great state of Nebraska after spending a little over five years in ministry in Southern Pines/Pinehurst, NC.  Kris is currently serving First Presbyterian Church in Omaha, NE as the Director of Youth and Young Adults.  Besides being in ministry with young people, Kris enjoys creating an environment of welcome and hospitality for all those she encounters. Outside of ministry, Kris enjoys college sports, especially cheering on the Nebraska Cornhusker football team and spending time with her wonderful husband, Kris “Bubba” Brammer and her four-legged fur child Wrigley.

Chandler Guess is a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC (Go Hose!) and holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Christian Education and History. She has a passion for mission, travel, and the creative arts. Her favorite pastimes include listening to live music, reading, drawing, and hiking with her dog Clyde. She enjoys laughing, learning and playing with people of all ages!
Chandler Guess
Eric Nanz is an accomplished instrumentalist, vocalist, song leader and songwriter. A professional instructor, he teaches guitar, piano, voice, bass, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, songwriting and music theory at his private studio in Fort Myers, Florida. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music industry from James Madison University, where he majored in classical guitar and sound engineering. Eric currently helps lead music for Covenant Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers, as well as for retreats and conferences.

Lynn Turnage is Director of Children & Family Ministries at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Greensboro, NC. Lynn is a lover of games, community building, movies, adventure, Montreat, and her girls.

Nancy Myer is the Staff Associate for Children's Ministries at University Presbyterian Church in Chapel Hill, NC.  Her favorite thing about children's ministry is that no day is ever the same!  She loves spending time with family and friends, cheering for the Michigan State Spartans, and is always willing to try a new craft.
