How can worship invite people of all ages to embody the liturgy in deep, faithful, primary ways? In this class, we’ll use the Iona Community’s Wee Worship Book as a springboard for exploring language that is firm, loving, beautiful, and prophetic.

Together we’ll consider how movement, silence, symbol, and space help worship become something the whole people of God can feel in their bones. Rooted in community and shaped by context, our worship life can flex, expand, and welcome—while staying grounded in the Gospel story.

Eric Wall has spent nearly four decades shaping Presbyterian worship through music, language, and the shared practices that form a community’s rhythm. Now part of the ministry staff at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, he collaborates with pastors and musicians, accompanies congregational song, and directs the Sanctuary Choir.

Previously, Eric served as Associate Professor of Sacred Music and Dean of the Chapel at Austin Seminary, where he taught future ministers how to craft meaningful worship. Each summer he continues his long-standing role as Conference Center Musician in Montreat.
