Led by the Spirit and Differently Abled Persons - Kathryn Johnson Cameron - AM
In a tweet to the early church in Corinth, the author had this to say: God has so composed the church--giving greater honor to those who have differing abilities, that there may be no discord in the membership and that members may have the same care for one another. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is part of it! In our workshop, we will be led by differently-abled persons as we engage our hearts, minds, and strength in art, worship, and re-creation. Drum circle, eyelid dances and wordplay are but a few of the ways we are invited to give God glory.
Kathryn Kathryn embraces her different abilities to teach and be taught, celebrate the arts of others and create, laugh loudly and keep silence. Poet, pastor, parent of two gifted young adults, one who communicates non-verbally, Kathryn delights in shared ministry with the people she meets. Her work as a teaching elder crosses state lines from Connecticut to California and international borders from Canada to Mexico, Israel to China, Italy to England. She loves hiking to waterfalls near Asheville, North Carolina where she lives with her spouse, Rev.David M. Cameron.
