Important News About The 2021 Arts, Recreation and Worship Conference
Right now we sit in the uncertainty of this global pandemic, but as people of faith, we know that nothing separates us from the Love of God. The time is coming when the weary world will gather together again to rejoice in our worship, work, and play.
The 2021 ARW Planning Team has decided to move forward with a predominantly virtual 3 day conference this May. Here are the options:
Registration will open one week later on March 17th at noon Eastern Time.
ARW is normally a week-long experiential opportunity amongst a community where all are welcome! The event focuses on recreation, worship, community, creativity and the arts. It is designed for those who want to deepen their creativity, broaden their leadership skills and experience personal spiritual renewal. In addition to whole group worship and recreation events, participants select from a wide range of unique courses. Our learning together provides space for us to share in community which includes all of God’s voices. Come join us as we acknowledge our weariness and rejoice in all that God has given us!
Worship Leader Ce Ce Armstrong
Rev. Cecelia D. Armstrong is called “CC” by friends and family members. She has never met a stranger and continues to collect friends and family members throughout her Christian journey through life and real-world experiences. So, if you are privileged to read this brief biographical sketch, then consider yourself a part of her collection of friends and family member. After earning her first Master’s degree and accepting a position as a high school mathematics teacher near Augusta, Georgia, Pastor CC became a member of Belle-Terrace Presbyterian Church (USA). While there, she was ordained as a Deacon, and then an Elder, before she accepted the call on her life into ministry. Pastor CC is currently the very proud Associate Pastor of St. James Presbyterian Church (USA) on James Island in Charleston, SC.
Pastor CC has served as conference pastor for Montreat Youth Conferences and is excited to share her creativity, artistic viewpoints and worship leadership with ARW
Music Leader Beth Watson Mueller
Beth Mueller currently serves as Sr Director of Worship Arts at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Austin, TX. That means she is responsible for musical and arty things, which is the best church job in the world! Beth has led lots of music stuff for the PCUSA and is super pumped to be at ARW in 2021! She likes everything from bluegrass to 80s hair bands. She loves and collects folk art from various continents (especially Latin America) to display in funky ways all over the house and yard, can cook a meal for 300 with one hand tied behind her back, and has a super cute husband whom she loves :-)
